Mid-Michigan Honor Flight

The Mid-Michigan Honor Flight,
a non-pro t group that works without paid staff, charters  ights to Washington, D.C. to carry World War II and Korean War veterans
to see memorials in their honor. In October 2016, the Honor Flight that  ew from Cherry Capital Airport included two World War II veterans from Leelanau County.

Ted Lanham of Kasson Township in November 2017 joined the more than 145 military servicemen who have signed this wing section as part of the 384th Bomb Group Veterans Signing Project. The section was brought to Leelanau County around Veteran’s Day for the World War II vet to sign.
